Tragic Loss: Local Athlete and Barber Passes Away

LOCAL ATHLETE AND BARBER REPORTEDLY DIES BY SUICIDE.

Shaquille Josh Benjamin, 23, a barber, Fitness Trainer, athlete and model, reportedly hanged himself in his Cunupia apartment.

Benjamin has represented Trinidad and Tobago at the Carifta Games in Track and Field over the years. He attended the UTT, where he obtained an Associate’s Degree in Sports Studies.

According to his social media account, he worked at HairPort Barber Shop as a barber and also ran his own business, Ben the BarberTT.
